From what age is Kavelu suitable?
Kavelu deliberately focuses on primary school: grades 1 to 4, playful and age-appropriate. More grades will only return once the quality there is at the same level.
Why Kavelu when there are free learning apps?
Free apps are good for practising lots of tasks. Kavelu starts with a short check, then practises the topics that are still shaky. The parent area shows you what helps next. You can use math for free and compare for yourself.
How does Kavelu handle children's data?
Parents create the account. Children only use nickname profiles and have no account of their own. There are no ads and no advertising trackers. For usage statistics we use PostHog with servers in the EU, without cookies and without names, and count a few steps on our own servers, only with random IDs. Data export and deletion are available any time in the parent area. Full details are in the privacy policy.
Which German states are supported?
The content in math, German, English and science follows the KMK educational standards, which apply in all German states. The order of topics in class can differ between schools. That is why Kavelu starts with a check instead of a fixed plan.
Is there an app?
The app for iPhone and iPad is coming to the App Store soon. Until then, Kavelu runs in any browser, on tablet, phone or laptop. Your account and progress are the same everywhere.
How much does Kavelu cost?
Getting started is free: math for grades 1–4 with one child profile costs nothing. Starter unlocks all subjects for up to 2 children for €6.99 a month; Family covers up to 4 children for €9.99 a month. These are founder prices, only for the first 100 paying families. For everyone after that, Starter costs €9.99 and Family €14.99 a month. On the website you can try every paid plan for 14 days.
